Cognitive Retraining

Cognitive Retraining/Remediation involves a meticulously employed collection of therapeutic services aimed at exercising cognitive functions. It uses psychological concepts of repetition and mastery, and helps to regain brain functions. CR uses the principle of neuroplasticity - promoting the growth of neural or cellular networks in the brain and to reorganize them, in order to stimulate changes in the brain and boost functional recovery. Cognitive Retraining is used after brain injury, stroke, psychosis, or as a part of neuropsychological intervention.
